GETTING THERE:

If you are bringing a car, there is only one way to get to the island.You must take the Steamship Authority ferry which leaves from Hyannis.  The trip takes 2 hours and 15 minutes. The ferry docks at Streamboat wharf in Nantucket. Reservations for cars are usually reserved 6 months in advance so plan ahead!   

If not bringing a car, the next fastest way is the high speed ferries offered by Steamship Authority (Flying Cloud) and Hy-Line Cruises (Grey Lady). Both leave from Hyannis from different docks. The Flying Cloud docks at Steamboat Wharf while the Grey Lady docks at Straight Wharf.

By plane, there are direct flights from Philadelphia, Newark, Boston, Providence, New Bedford and Hyannis.
